Garlicky Greens

When I am anxious or nervous or really excited, I just need to eat garlic.

This is one way to use up heavy winter greens and eat them in your sunny backyard..

  • 2 cups packed heavy winter greens (kale and brussels sprouts)
  • 2 small garlic cloves (or 1 big one), diced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 hard boiled egg, chopped
  • crusty bread
  • splash of oil

Cut up the greens very small and saute in medium hot oil for 5-10 minutes. Season. Then add some water (2 tbsp?), cover, and steam for a few minutes.

Mix soy sauce, vinegar, and diced garlic together, and then pour into the cooked greens and saute for a few minutes. Eat with a chopped up egg, crusty bread, and homemade tzatziki.

And calm down, will you?
