Leftover shrimp bisque makes excellent biscuits.
But honestly, we named them before we actually made them. Bisque biscuit: The Bisquet… ha.
Salty and fishy and perfect with bacon and gravy..
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 stick of butter, cold
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup leftover shrimp bisque
Add flour and baking powder to a bowl. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and mix into the flour with a fork. You can also use a food processor and just pulse it a few times so the butter is still kind of chunky..
Then mix in the bisque until it looks like dough. You can knead it a bit but just a little. Make about 1/4 cup sized balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. We got around 8 of them. 20 minutes in a 400 degree oven and they are ready for your bacon and bacon grease gravy toppings.
